Some of our most popular DIY guitar kits are offered on pre‑order. This page explains what that means, how timelines work, and what to expect from purchase to delivery.

What does “pre‑order” mean?

• The kit is not yet in stock, but you can reserve it in advance.
• Your reservation ensures you’ll receive a kit from the next production run or restock.
• The most current estimated arrival window is shown on each product page.

Estimated wait times

• Pre‑order kits: Estimated delivery in 3–6 months (varies by model and restock schedule).
• Custom Shop kits: Built to order with an estimated delivery of about 8 months (includes production + shipping). Learn more in our Custom Shop collection.

Timelines are estimates and may shift due to production scheduling, quality control, or international logistics. If your order falls outside these ranges, please reach out so we can help.

How pre‑orders ship

• As soon as stock arrives and passes QC, we dispatch your order from the appropriate warehouse (U.S. or International).
• You’ll receive a Shipping Confirmation email with a tracking number when your parcel leaves our warehouse.
• Typical delivery after dispatch:
  • From U.S. warehouse → U.S. addresses: ~2 weeks (tracking may take 5+ business days to begin updating).
  • From China / International warehouse: 4–6 weeks (tracking often appears once the parcel enters your country and may be inactive for 4–5 weeks prior).
