All of our DIY guitar kits come with frets already installed on the neck, so you don’t need to worry about sourcing or installing them yourself.

Standard Fret Size

• The standard fret size across all of our stock kits is 2.7 mm (medium jumbo fret wire), , which is a versatile choice favored by many guitarists.

• Medium jumbo frets provide a comfortable balance between easy chord playing and smooth string bending.

Fret Wire Material

• Most kits use nickel fret wire, which is the industry standard and offers durability with a familiar feel.

• Some kits feature bronze fret wire, depending on the model.

• At this time, we do not use stainless steel frets in our stock kits.

Custom Shop Options

If you’re ordering from our Custom Shop, you can request:

• Different fret sizes (e.g., smaller vintage-style frets or larger jumbo frets).

• Alternative fret wire materials, depending on availability.
