How do you glue a set neck?Updated 22 days ago
A set neck is glued, so you get one attempt. Clean the neck cavity with a small brush until no dust is left, and check the heel of the neck too.
Apply an even coat of PVA or a similar wood glue to the cavity with a brush, and a little to the heel. As with the dry fit, put the end of the heel in first, push down, then push the whole neck into place.
Clamp in two places, the heel and the underside of the body. Check the label on your glue, but in most cases the clamps can come off after 24 hours.
