Hardware Reference Guide: LP-Style Guitar Kit Screw Placement

Kit Type: LP-Style Guitar Kits

Issue: The default manual does not explicitly specify which screws are intended for which components.

When sorting the mixed hardware bag, use the following guide to identify and place the screws correctly:

• Small Screws (Group A): * Placement: Backplates and switch covers (typically requires ~7 screws). They are also used for tuning pegs, the truss rod cover, and the jack plate.

  • Note: These screws are too small to fit the pickup ring holes.

• Medium Wood Screws (Group B & D): * Placement: Pickup rings.

  • Note: You will need exactly 8 of these screws to mount both pickups (4 per ring). Ensure all small baggies are checked, as they can sometimes get separated during packing.

• Long/Thicker Screws (Group C): * Placement: Strap buttons.

Note: There should be exactly two of these random, un-identical screws in the pack.
