Yes—all of our DIY guitar kits include a truss rod pre-installed in the neck. This ensures that your guitar can be properly adjusted for neck relief, playability, and long-term stability.

What Type of Truss Rod?

Most of our kits come with a double-action (sometimes called “two-way”) truss rod.

• A double-action truss rod can be adjusted in both directions:

  • Turning one way adds relief (bows the neck forward).

  • Turning the other way reduces relief (flattens or back-bows the neck).

• This gives you more flexibility and precision compared to a single-action truss rod, which only adjusts in one direction.

How to Confirm for Your Kit

The type of truss rod included is usually listed in the Product Specifications section of each kit.

• If the specs say “Double Way” or “Double Action,” it means the neck has a two-way adjustable rod.
